Salute!~

As Commanding Officer I would like to welcome you to the Home of the 310th Virtual Fighter Squadron! Since its inception the 310th VFS has gone through many changes. How ever the one thing that has not changed is our dedication to IL-2 Sturmovik & IL-2 Forgotten Battles. We believe that 1C:Maddox Games has gone above and beyond any other software developer to deliver and support the best & most realistic flight simulator ever created. Because of their dedication to their consumers, and their great attention to detail, we here at the 310th VFS will do our part to return that dedication in kind by supporting 1C:Maddox Games & by purchasing future soft wear tittles developed by the 1C:Maddox team.

While there are many Virtual Squadrons operating on the internet today, we would like to think that we will one day stand out from the crowd. Although we are still relatively new, we continue to grow. And with that growth we gain experience.

We have been called at one time the “Bad News Bears” of the IL-2 Community. We take that comment in stride and like to think of it as a complement. Because as you may remember, the “Bad News Bears” were winners in the end. It's also nice to have a dedicated goal in mind. And so that is our goal. To win, to succeed were others have failed, and to do so as gentlemen, while having as much fun as possible. Do we take this serious? Hell yes we do! Loosing is never fun. And we want to win whenever and wherever we can. But when we loose, we will loose with class. Our aim is to be gentlemen of the virtual skies.

We salute our men and women in uniform both past and present. And thus we are a very military based squadron. We have a very direct command structure, and almost every one in this squadron has a job to do. We all must do our jobs to the best of our abilities if we as a squadron are to succeed. We also Salute and respect our fellow virtual squadrons, both friend and foe alike. In combat, we do our best to eliminate the enemy where ever we may find them. Out side of the arena, we will do every thing in our power to assist any pilot or any squad, friend or foe, which needs our assistance. In doing so we hope to gain a reputation for our selves that is unmatched in the Flight Sim Community.

For those of you who are visiting our web site for the first time welcome! And for those of you who have visited us before, welcome back. For whatever reason you are here visiting our site we hope that you find your time here to be enjoyable, and that you learn something new while you're here. We maintain an OPEN FORUM here on the site ( located in the SQUAD ROOM ) for the use of our visitors and friends. Please feel free to stop by and say hello to our members at any time. We are also working on an online reference library for WWII era aircraft. Please feel free to visit the AIRCRAFT LIBRARY at you discretion. It is our intention to make this web site as interactive and as informative as possible, both for our guests, as well as our members. If there is something that you see needs improvement, correcting, or something that you think would be a nice addition to our site please feel free to tell us and we will make every attempt to make the necessary changes.

And if you are searching for a Virtual Squadron to call home we would love to have you as a member! The Tophat Squadron is always recruiting new as well as experienced pilots. Simply stop by our recruiting office here on the site, read over our Standard Operating Procedures, and complete the application for membership. Whatever you interests are in Flight Sims, we have a place here for you. We maintain three active flight wings, a dedicated bomber wing, in addition to having human bomber crew members & plans are in the works for a dedicated night fighter wing.
